Fundraising is Key to our Success

My campaign for Maryland Attorney General is hosting several fundraisers before the end of 2013.  We will be holding a Braveboy for Maryland Fundraiser on Monday, November 25 from 6:30-8:30pm.  This fundraiser will be held at the Law Offices of Gabriel J. Christian & Associates located at 3060 Mitchellville Road, Bowie, Maryland 20716.

The campaign is also hosting a Women for Aisha Fundraiser on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 11:00am – 1:00pm.  The Women for Aisha Fundraiser will be held at Amalgamated Transit Union Local 689 located at 2701 Whitney Place, Forestville, Maryland 20747.  I encourage you and your family and friends to attend these fundraisers or otherwise donate to the campaign.  Maryland law prohibits members of the legislature from raising money while the General Assembly is in session.  This means that I will be prohibited from raising money from January 8 through April 7, 2014 during the 2014 legislative session.  It its critically important to support the campaign through your donations now before the General Assembly convenes in January.

Recent polling for the 2014 Maryland Attorney General’s race shows that the race is up for grabs.  Approximately half of Maryland voters have not heard of any of the candidates.  The candidate who is most successful at raising their visibility and name recognition throughout Maryland has a strong chance of winning this race.  This is why I need your help.  I need your help to pay for the radio  advertisements, direct mail pieces and campaign literature that will help spread our message of Fair Growth and Justice for All across Maryland.  Every dollar you donate will be dedicated to building our campaign organization and raising our name recognition with voters.  This is a race we definitely can win and with your help we will make it happen!  Thank you so much for your support.

Sincerely,

Aisha

Campaign Announcement - November 6

For the past several months, I have been traveling throughout Maryland and talking with people about the issues that affect their everyday lives.  What I've learned is that people, regardless of race, gender, socio-economic status, disability or age, want one thing---Justice.  Whether it is families facing foreclosure, workers who have not been paid fair wages, parents who want a quality education for their children, seniors who are being targeted by unscrupulous businesses or victims of domestic violence---they all want to be treated fairly and have their rights defended.  My conversations with Marylanders have galvanized my belief that more needs to be done to protect the people of our state, and that the people need a courageous, independent voice for Justice.  This is why I am running for Maryland Attorney General.  I plan to use the power of the Attorney General's Office to be a strong advocate for Maryland workers, consumers, students and the environment.  As I traveled the state and shared my commitment to defend the rights of all Marylanders, I have been humbled and encouraged by the outpouring of support I have received from so many of you.  Now is the time to move past the exploratory phase and make my campaign for Maryland Attorney General official.

Please join me for my official Campaign Announcement on Wednesday, November 6 @ 6:30pm.  The announcement will be held at Local 26 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).  The address for IBEW Local 26 is: 4371 Parliament Place, Lanham, Maryland 20706.  Please join me and other community leaders as I discuss my vision for protecting consumers, stopping the school-to-prison pipeline, protecting home values for communities affected by foreclosures and enforcing the minimum wage and overtime laws in Maryland.

If you are not able to attend the announcement on November 6 and would like more information about the campaign, please visit my website www.aishabraveboy.com.  The single most important thing you can do right now to support the campaign is to DONATE.  Each dollar you give will go towards building our campaign organization and spreading our message of Justice for All to voters throughout the State.  No donation is too small, every dollar counts. Please join me!

Sincerely,

Aisha
